Touchdowns allowed

This stat, brought to you by Dale Lolley, is stunning...

That's seven consecutive games the Steelers have allowed a return touchdown, including three-straight home games that they've given up a kickoff return touchdown.

The defense has allowed 11 touchdowns all season.

Could the special teams be the "something" that is just not right with the Steelers this year? Or is it just bad luck?

Either way this statistic is incredible. I can't think of any excuse for something like a return touchdown, and it can mean so much to an opponent: quick points, a shift in momentum, confidence...

How much do you think somehting like that is effecting the season?

I used to think that these allowed TDs would hurt the Steelers only if the opponent was someone to reckon with. They proved that even a crappy team like the Chiefs can benefit and win off of these TDs.

Against the Bengals those points certainly proved to make the difference between a win and a loss.

I really thought that the Steelers were a team that could easily bounce back from these miscues and still pound a team despite crappy ST coverage. Now they're becoming more dangerous with each opponent they face.
